Having seen how the Thai education system fails to provide opportunities to learn about life outside the classroom, we’ve come to the conclusion that this system, as rigorous as it is academically, falls short on producing students with vital life skills. We have created Saturday School Global in order to give such opportunities that we international students are so lucky to have that Thai school students may not and increase the number of opportunities for learning and self-development of students to keep up with our ever-changing society.
Our supporters and partners
We have been heavily inspired by Saturday School Foundation, a nonprofit organization who believes in the exact same values as we do, the transformation of Thai education and preparation for the future generation.
“Saturday School Global is dedicated to empowering millennials with vital life skills, nurturing a worldwide learning community that adapts and thrives amidst the rapid transformations of our age.”
“We aim to establish a dynamic platform for skill exchange between Thai students and international students. Our mission is to foster an environment to discover and implement successful practices while also keeping up with global society.”
BEAM: “Saturday School Global is not only a project that benefits the younger generation, but a project which also benefits me. Being able to relay one’s life experiences and knowledge to those without the opportunity to go through them personally is a priceless experience and through Saturday School Global I now have the chance to do so.”
JJ: “I believe that education should be universally available and accessible to all. Therefore, I believe that basic understanding of financial and internet literacy should be afforded to everyone irrespective of their social background.”
Who We Are
We have dispersed to different parts of the world to study abroad. We are students that have been given unlimited opportunities to improve ourselves and to prepare for our future and fast-paced world.
Having been given such scarce opportunities, we aim to make the most of them by expanding our experiences from various parts of the globe and to relay these experiences to those without them and to give back to the community which they rightly deserve.
Our Projects
Having been able to witness the flaws of the Thai educational system, our number one priority is to mitigate these issues as much as possible in Saturday School Global through our learning experiences from all around the world. As for our targets, we aim specifically to teach those in the Thai educational system as we intend to provide certain learning opportunities that wouldn’t be there otherwise.
We aim to offer a wide range of courses that are usually outside the scope of regular school learning from the basics of internet safety all the way to money and even nature. We believe this is an essential aspect to maximise the potential of our future society.
Alongside our wide range of courses, we also offer organised activities for students to work together and further develop our society. This not only teaches them teamwork and mindfulness, but also allows them to have fun while also developing themselves, which is at the core of what we do at Saturday School Global.
