The core of this activity is to teach our students mindfulness and respect for those who are no longer with us, providing them a chance to give back to the community. Not every family can afford a coffin for their loved ones to rest peacefully. This activity exists to instil in students the value of giving back and fostering a sense of community.
The activity involves building a coffin from scratch, including tasks like sawing wood, painting, and hammering nails. It’s tiring but satisfying work, and most importantly, it brings enjoyment to the students, which lies at the core of our work at Saturday School Global.
